These are our TD Rules and Guidelines set in place to try and keep some type of

order.  If you want to host, be sure to read thru all these to make sure you

understand them before you fill out an application!!

TD Rules and Guidelines

     1.                   To remain an active TD, u need to host at least 5 tours a week,

                   preferably 10 a week,  unless your td status is set to vacation

                   or  you have made  arrangements with an Admin.   (All hosts

                   need to have time blocks on the hosting schedule that they can

                   host tourneys unless u have discussed this with one of the

                    admins,  and they will need to preset tourneys for these times)

                   **please see the hosting schedule for time blocks that u can

                      request**

 

      1a.        Any host not able to meet these obligations due to personal or

                   family reason can message or email me and let me know.   Anyone

                   not meeting hosting requirements can be removed from staff.  Any

                   host not running a tourney for 10 days, will be removed from staff.

 

      1b.       You are allowed to host at other times besides what times you

                   have marked on the hosting schedule.  If u see an opening then

                   you are more than welcome to set a tourney.   Just be sure to be

                   around when ur times on the hosting schedule come up unless

                   you have made other arrangements.

2.                  Any problems that arise while hosting or during a tourney that needs to be discussed can always be discussed with one of the Admins, if there is a major judgement call that needs to be made, this can be done by the HA or CO-HA.

3.                  Please remember to be polite and courteous at all times, even when you are not hosting a tourney, you are still representing the league

4.                  Arguing and fighting among staff in the lobby will not be tolerated!!

5.                  When setting a tourney, always come to the lobby first and make sure no other host is in the process of setting a tournament, DO NOT just look at the calendar and take it for granted that noone else is hosting at the time.

6.                  All hosts are allowed to wear badges while they are in our league room, this does help others know who the tourneys directors are and who they can go to about league issues.   All major league issues please direct them to the Admins.

7.                  If a problem does arise and you do not agree with the decision another host has made, either message them or call them to a room, do not second guess them in the lobby in front of everyone.  This is disrespectful to the host.

8.                  Host are allowed to play rated games in the room, BUT, you are not allowed to play in any other games while you are hosting unless you are playing in another hosts tourney.

9.                  Please watch the time when you are setting tournaments, make sure when you set a tour that the current tourneys are running on time by checking the tourney clock, you should not set a tour in the next slot, for example 2pm slot when its already 2pm and there is another tour before yours.

10.             please do not preset more than 2 current tourneys in a row when there are other hosts online that want to host, if there are multiple hosts online then you should all take turns setting 1 tourney.  If you are presetting them on the calendar for the next day, you can set up to 3 in a row.

11.             When setting tourneys allow at least 30 mins for s/e’s and 2-3 round swiss and allow 1 hour for d/e’s

13.             HTD’s and admins are allowed to run others tourneys or move them as needed.  If there are only 3 jumpers and HTD or Admin can run another persons tourney so they also can jump and play in the tourney for a 4th jumper. 

14.             If you are going to be a host you are also required to jump other tourneys, you are not here to only host but also here to participate in others tournaments.  Any hosts only setting tourneys and not playing in them on a continued basis will have their hosting status reviewed.

15.             We also ask that hosts help to recruit other members to the league.  If the person does not get their activation email, just let an admin know and they can help to activate them.

16.             While you are hosting, PAY ATTENTION, we all get distracted every now and then with a problem at a table or someone needing help, but pay attention to the lobby and your tourneys, hosts that have delays continually due to not paying attention to their tourney will be put under review.

17.             DO NOT delete tournaments, if you have a tourney set and you cannot run it due to lack of jumpers or a personal issue comes up, just change the date on it to another day or  u can even just change the year to a later year and then change the date on it later when you can run it.

18.             When there is a person in the lobby causing problems, bad mouthing the league or host and they are not a member, announce for all members to report and mute and move on, do not keep carrying on with this person, the more you argue, the more they carry on.  If any members keep the argument going with them, tell them again to report and mute and move on, if they do not, report this to an admin so that they can talk with the league member.

19.             When you call a timer on someone, you call it from the time you started the match, unless the person left in the middle of the game, then you call it from that time.  For example, you call a match at  2:55 and they have not set by 2:58 and you call timer, you start the timer from 55

20.             If/When someone needs boxed, I want screen shots of what was said or done, I don’t want any he said she said, I want proof of what happened for my records.

21.             Any person needing to be kicked from the league will be done by the Admins, and if we are not present when the problem occurs then we will need screen shots to show what happened.
